Slow days in the garden

Yes, you can tell that things are winding down with garden chores.
Rain is expected today which we really need . It is so dry that I bent a shovel trying to dig out some carrots. To keep myself occupied, I went vintage shopping yesterday and came home with a few pieces of a very cool set of dishes. I couldn't let them sit there on the shelf languishing amidst all of the usual 70s heavy plates in avocado and golden rod.

Before we get the rain today, I ran out and collected some very dry seeds. I'm going to try saving more seeds this year. Good thing I enjoy my herring because those jars make perfect containers.
