Tom Rush concert

Amazing concert and an opportunity to hear an artist that played such an important role in my life.

First, as an art student in college in the 70s. Then, as I moved his albums from place to place and later, getting back some of that old "attitude" when I needed it the most. It's always been about getting that bad ass 'tude back. So often, playing the music gets me there.

Tom Rush. First saw him perform in the '70s in a corner cafe/bar/performance venue called The Blue River Cafe.

Now, nearly 40 years later, I saw him perform again. His voice hasn't changed.

There aren't many hotels like this around anymore! That sign says: Air conditioned. Switchboard. Free Television.

The concert as in the Old Town School of Music.

You have to have a few drinks in an interesting place before seeing an icon perform.

One man, two guitars and a cup of coffee balanced on a skinny metal stand.

There he is, looking ike Mark Twain signing autographs in the middle of a sea of fans.
