Scenes from the day

I really, really didn't feel like pushing through the heavy air today to take photos even though I had some gladiolas that needed to have their portrait taken.

But it rained and there was something about getting all wet that appealed to me. It was like taking a shower. Why does rain water make us feel so soft?

 It even LOOKS humid.

The tomatoes have had a perfect growing season. Somehow, they survived the drought through attentive watering. It is almost overwhelming.

 Steamy.

One of two lonely zucchinis. That's one more than I got last year. I continue to be mystified by this.

Is there a word for a tomato addiction?
