The finch drama happened yesterday. Mr. and Mrs. returned and looked at where their nest was last year. They had a few words. Lots of fluttering about. Mrs. Finch brought over a choice stick to start the process. This morning, there was a huge war of words/chirps between the two of them and the stick was gone and so are they.
It's the Mr.
He does no work yet seems to control the situation.
After the finch drama, I moved on to seed starting.
This year, I'm trying a new layout. The two vertical windows on either side of the fireplace face the south and will allow me to put four trays in the living room and out of the kitchen.
It's not pretty but at least I don't have my entire kitchen taken over by plastic trays, domes and electric blankets. Just the table in the window.
Tomatoes, peppers, eggplants and assorted flower seeds are started.
