This is something that I've been looking at, plotting a solution to and finally today, am going to have that solution for this troubling situation. Before the temporary hanging lamp and duct tape display, I had a useless vent hood hanging right over the cooktop. Today, my son came over to work on my obsession.
The pieces to the project. Today I used my new favorite room in the house! It's my furnace room and I will now call it my work room. No longer will it be a place to avoid.
Voila!
(I have to stain and seal the new wood panel so the cord isn't stapled to that right now.)
