These two chestnuts are from Italy! My sister-in-law, Betsy, sent them to me. She got them from Umbria. If you know me on that deeper level, you know I am a collector of international chestnuts. I planted them this afternoon after work. Wisconsin has experienced a little slice of heaven over the last couple of weeks. Today was another (and the last) day of 60+ degrees. I raced home, grabbed the chestnuts and planted them before it got dark. We won't have 60 degrees for months and months.
